About me and my principles

HJA_9354.jpg

I am a husband, father of two children and have a full time career in IT.  Yet I have a deep and meaningful desire to finding my own truth.  By turning my awareness on itself I've found a deep sense of stillness, strength, clarity and unconditioned happiness, while going about my daily life.

Studying eastern and western schools of psychological thought and combining it with coaching tools like NLP and Gestalt has given me a varied perspective; arriving at a non sectarian and scientific psychology that I am living and breathing effortlessly every day.

Ultimately I knew I would eventually have a  role to play in helping others through their self-enquiry; using  guided dialogue and these tools.

Start where you are. Use what you have.  Do what you can.

Why did I start this blog?

My overriding vision is to see a more natural, simpler, cleaner, and happier world where one can live in harmony with one another and with  nature.

This website is my humble effort to help people understand their true motives, deepest desires, worries, anxieties, and boredom, to find fulfilment and deep restfulness. Modern life has become complicated with its jumble of feelings, reactions, and counter-reactions, and happiness turns out to be a temporary relief from pain or misery, in the form of escapism; a night out or a holiday.

My mission is to empower everyone to consciously choose positive happiness and pleasantness throughout their lives over misery, and help replace indulgence and involvement in feelings of self-guilt, inadequacy, hurt, fear and resentment.

Teaching people how to say yes to their own happiness is my passion. When we all say yes to our own happiness the world will be a happy place for all.

INDIC WISOM

Running parallel to my career has been my pursuit of Indic wisdom. Through traditions of oral learning via some of the great masters of my lifetime, I continue to imbibe and exude the arts of the ancient world;  sanskrit, ayurveda, classical yoga, meditation and tantra in it’s “untainted” form.

Collecting and reading the latest research on psychology, neurology and trends in life coaching has always been a passion, I find that both the western and eastern systems of knowledge have the ability to explain matters of the mind from two totally different frames of reference.

You will find I use Western objective sciences and Eastern subjective insights interchangeably in my dialogues. The tools and techniques applied will be specific and unique for you.

My guiding principles

INNER WORLD

The tenets of the physical world  are designed to keep us limited to some extent, but we work around it using our intelligence; for example when it rains we choose to wear a raincoat or wellies to continue to  function as normal. The inner, mental world on the other hand gives us infinite freedom to grow and expand, yet we remain completely unaware of this.

Understanding our inner world scientifically and applying our mind to work around the realities of the outer world is the most important factor in achieving "success" in life. Bringing together modern coaching psychology and the best of classical wisdom from across the world is my life mission. We must question our limiting beliefs & habits that are holding us back, bringing about a deep transformation and tangible goal success.
